The Michigan County Medical Care Facilities Council has announced the recipients of its 2025 Gary Easton MCMCFC Scholarship Awards.
Ten people were chosen from more than 40 applicants to receive $1,000 scholarships in 2025. Recipients must be enrolled in a health-related program and be an employee of a Medical Care Facility (MCF) or related to an employee.
“Members of the Scholarship Committee are impressed each year with the number and quality of applications,” said committee Chair Gary Easton, a former medical care facility administrator for whom the awards are named. “This speaks to the desire of so many able and committed people who want to serve their community in the health care field.”
In May 2000, the council created a scholarship fund called the MCMCFC Scholarship Fund. In 2018, this fund was renamed the Gary Easton MCMCFC Scholarship Fund.
Between these two scholarships, the Council has now awarded more than $220,000 in scholarship monies benefiting approximately 250 students.
